Community Polls

Submitted by Peter Orchard on Thu, 04/04/2019 - 17:40

Polls can be useful for a number of purposes and members of the Nature of Dorset community are welcome to suggest topics for polls. Some examples of how polls might be used are:

  • Gauging support for a specific action you might be contemplating (eg: organising a campaign or event)
  • Canvassing opinion on an issue affecting nature in Dorset (eg: a planning application or a controversial action planned)
  • Referendum on a specific matter (eg: was a council decision to do something justified or correct)
  • Recommendations for the best equipment to use or places to go (eg: best camera for macro photography or the best places to see a certain species)
  • Personal preferences or favourites (eg: favourite blue butterfly as in the example set up)

There may be other uses too, the choice of polls is yours. Use the comments box on this page to suggest a poll you would like to see run and, if appropriate I will set it up.
